Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have decided to split after nearly 10 years of marriage.
On Monday (May 18), the couple confirmed that they called it quits after being together as husband and wife for almost a decade. The announcement was made shortly after Fox was spotted with Machine Gun Kelly.
Green revealed their split in a new episode of “…With Brian Austin Green” podcast titled “Context.” He made a reference to Fox and Kelly’s photo over the weekend and explained that he had a dream that while his wife was filming a new movie with the rapper there was distance between them. He also admitted that since the end of 2019, they have been “trying to sort of be apart.”
“I will always love her,” he added (via Us Weekly).
“And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and really special.”
Despite their split, Green said that they will continue with their family vacations and will still spend holidays together because they want to focus on their kids. He also admitted that things are tough for him.
“It sucks when life changes and something that you’re used to, that you’ve been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change. There’s the unknown aspect … there’s that pit in my stomach … I really don’t want Megan and I to be at odds … she’s been my best friend for 15 years and I don’t want to lose that,” Green continued.
He also addressed Fox’s photos with her “Midnight in the Switchgrass” co-star. According to him, he never met Colson Baker, the rapper’s real name. Fox met him on set and they talked about him.
Green made it clear that at present, Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are just friends and he trusts his ex-wife’s judgment. He also asked the public to not judge the “Transformers” actress.
“I don’t want people to think her or he are villains or that I was a victim in any way,” he added.
Prior to Green’s confirmation about their separation, he posted a cryptic message on Instagram. He shared a snap of butterflies and accompanied it with a meaningful caption.
“Eventually butterflies get bored sitting on a flower for too long. They start feeling smothered. It’s a great big world and they want to experience it,” he wrote.
