Briana Cuoco, Kaley Cuco’s Sister, Auditions For ‘The Voice’

The new season of NBC’s “The Voice” premiered on Monday and one of the contestants on the show was Briana Cuoco, the sister of "The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco.

Monday’s episode of the singing reality show featured a clip from the blind auditions, which showed Briana being told that she could attend the blind auditions and perform in front of Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera, Access Hollywood reported.

Briana had broken the news of her “The Voice” audition a day earlier by uploading on her Instagram account a photograph of herself holding a microphone with a picture of the coaches’ chairs from “The Voice.”

“Practice makes perfect? Blind auditions start airing TOMORROW #nbcthevoice #sept23 #8pm,” she captioned the picture. And, just hours before the show’s premiere, Kaley too urged her Twitter followers to tune in to “The Voice” to watch her sister’s audition.

“Tune into @TheVoice_TF1 tonight to see a sneak peak of my awesome sis @bricuoco audition!! Does she make it? IVE NEVER BEEN MORE NERVOUS.”

It is not immediately known if Briana passed the blind audition round. Besides being a singer, Briana is also a dancer, choreographer, and an actor. She made a guest appearance in the Valentine’s Day episode of “The Big Bang Theory” where she played the character of Gretchen, a girlfriend of one of Penny’s former boyfriends.

She has also had small roles in “The Newsroom” and “The Mentalist.”

Actors who have worked with Briana praised her singing talent when news of her taking part in “The Voice” broke.

“She is phenomenal. She’s very, very talented,” Mayim Bialik told Access Hollywood on the Emmys red carpet, and Jim Parsons added: “She is a great a lot of things. We give Kaley a lot of hell like ‘Oh so finally the world is going to see the really talented Cuoco!’ Which is not true we just want to give her s**t!”
