Bristol Palin Confronts Rumors She’s Lying About Daughter Sailor Grace's Due Date
It may be a new year, but it seems Bristol Palin is still battling the same old drama. The daughter of former Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin recently took to Instagram to confront a rumor that she gave birth to her second child, Sailor Grace, a month earlier than reported.
“For all the people saying I gave birth 11/4/15…here is my IV that was started on 12/22/15 when I was admitted,” the 25-year-old mother of two captioned a close up photo of her IV bracelet alongside an image of herself in a hospital bed next to her mother. “My baby girl was born 12/23/15 stop trying to create controversy where none exists, desperation is the ugliest thing.”
The Instagram post has since been deleted from Palin’s account.
Palin first announced that should would be expecting her second child in June 2015, two months after she and her fiancé Dakota Meyer called off their wedding.
“I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant. Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one,” she wrote in a blog post on the religious website Patheos. “I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you.”
The former “Dancing With the Stars” competitor then asked for privacy to be given to her and her son Tripp, who was born in 2008 – a scandal that took place while the former conservative Alaska governor served as John McCain's running mate in the 2008 presidential election.
“I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy,” she continued. “My little family always has, and always will come first.”
But despite the swirling rumors, Palin managed to stay in the merriest of spirits as the holiday season came to a close, sharing a sweet photo of her children on Instagram and a message to her fans.
“Never thought 2015 would play out like it did, but I look at my babies and know everything is exactly where it should be,” she wrote. “[Cheers] to a new year and [peace] to anyone who’s got anything to say about it."
