British Supermodel Naomi Campbell Welcomes Her First Child At 50

Naomi Campbell is now a proud mama at 50. She introduced her baby girl to the world Tuesday by posting a photo of her little feet on Instagram.

The supermodel also penned a beautiful note to accompany the sweet photograph. "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love," it read.

Campbell started her career as a model at 15 when she was discovered by a modeling agency. Over the years, she has proven herself not only as a successful model but also as a businesswoman and as an actress. Now she's ready to excel in another role: that of being a mother.

Soon after her post went live, congratulatory messages from her friends and fans started pouring in.

"Oh my goodness congrats lady! What a blessing!!!" actress Zoe Saldana said in her comment.

Designer Marc Jacobs was also happy for Campbell. "Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Jodie Turner-Smith said, "Many many many congratulations to you and to your family— the village that will now rally around you and support you in cultivating that little angel!!!! what an incredible blessing!!!"

Campbell has been wanting to start a family for some time now. During an interview with Evening Standard a few years ago, the supermodel talked about her dream of becoming a mom. "I think about having children all the time," she said.

The A-lister was also open to trying modern medicine to fulfill this desire. "But now with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want," the supermodel added.

"Naomi has been wanting to be a mother for a long time and it finally happened. She is the godmother to many friends and family's kids and has always looked forward to the day of starting her own family," a source told Page Six.

It remains unclear who the child's father is or if the baby was conceived via surrogacy or if Naomi adopted the baby girl. But we wish the new mom all the happiness.
