Britney Spears Net Worth 2020 Amid #FreeBritney Movement: How Much 'Toxic' Singer Has Earned
Over the last few weeks, fans of Britney Spears have continued to express their concern as the #FreeBritney movement has returned to the public eye after being sued by Spears' conservatorship in 2019. Following the renewed interest in the "Toxic" singer's well-being, some may also be wondering how much the pop star is worth today.
In 2019, it was stated in court documents that Spears was worth $59M in both the entertainment and business worlds.
After getting her start on "The Mickey Mouse Club," she released her first album, 1999's "...Baby One More Time," which solidified her presence in the world of pop music. From there, she went on to debut eight other albums, including her most recent efforts, 2016's "Glory."
A variety of other lucrative opportunities outside of traditional album releases have also presented themselves over the years as well. In 2013, she signed a $30 million contract for a Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood, which was later renewed in 2017. The show, called "Britney: Piece of Me," wrapped after 248 concerts.
Spears was later set to return for a follow-up series of Vegas shows, called "Britney: Domination," but that was put on hold in 2019 due to her father, Jamie Spears, being in poor health, as stated by The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition to her successful musical efforts, Spears has also entered other areas of the entertainment world, including starring in 2002's "Crossroads" and appearing on her own reality show called "Britney & Kevin: Chaotic" with then-husband Kevin Federline. She also released a wide variety of perfumes, including Fantasy and Curious, and appeared as a judge on the U.S. version of "The X Factor" alongside Simon Cowell.
As for how the "Toxic" singer has spent some of her wealth, she reportedly purchased a $7.4 million estate in Thousand Oaks, CA in 2015, according to Variety.
