KEY POINTS

  • Britney Spears shared a nude snap months after her ex said their sons refused to see her due to her sultry posts
  • Some dads slammed the Hollywood singer, with one saying mothers and wives should not post stuff like that
  • One woman defended Spears, saying she was taking her power back, while another said she was annoying her family

Britney Spears bared it all in her most recent post on Twitter.

Spears, 40, took to Twitter Wednesday and shared a nude photo of her lying in bed nearly a week after she deleted her Instagram account.

"I have a premiere for a movie this week, 'THE LEGISLATIVE ACT OF MY P—Y' !!!!" she wrote in the caption.

The post came two months after her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, claimed in an interview that their two sons, Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16, chose "not to see her" because of her penchant for posting nudes, Page Six reported.

"I try to explain to them, 'Look, maybe that's just another way she tries to express herself.' But that doesn't take away from the fact of what it does to them. It's tough," Federline explained to Daily Mail. "I can't imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school."

The netizens have mixed responses after seeing Spears' NSFW post. Some seemingly sided with her ex, with one saying he had unfollowed and blocked Spears. Another said the "Toxic" singer, who was "sexualized" and was under a conservatorship for 13 years, was just taking her power back.

"Brittney you may not care what I have to say, but I'm a single father of 2 teens. Both my sons have @Twitter accounts & this is what you expose them to? I personally don't think a mother & wife should be posting stuff like this. I can no longer support. Unfollowed & blocked," one wrote.

Another agreed, "My thoughts exactly! I saw this picture on my son's feed, and we both burst into tears because of the example that has been set for our young ones. Thank you for saying something good sir."

"She's taking back her power. This woman was sexualized by the industry, managers & her own parents for years & the world at large ate it up. Now she's taking the helm of her own sexuality/power, and everyone is clutching their pearls? Spare me. @britneyspears you do you," one defended Spears.

"I'm pretty sure she does this to piss off her family and because she thinks it's funny that it pisses them off. Revenge queen. Britney will always be Britney," a fourth person added with a white smiling face emoji.

When Federline did the interview and spoke about the reason he and Spears' sons chose not to see her, Spears' husband, Sam Asghari, defended her. The fitness instructor and actor said, "My wife has never posted a nude selfie except [for] her butt [which] is quite modest these days. All other posts were implied nudity [which] can be seen in any ad for lotion or soap."
