Brody Jenner is opening up more about his ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter’s pregnancy.
In the season finale episode of “The Hills: New Beginnings” that aired Wednesday, the 37-year-old son of Caitlyn Jenner admitted that he felt it was a bit too soon for his 32-year-old ex to be pregnant.
“It’s just a little soon, but I don’t know. What’s done is done,” Jenner was quoted as saying by Us Weekly. The DJ then noted in his confessional that he hopes Carter is “making the right decision.”
Jenner admitted that whatever is going on between Carter and her 30-year-old beau Kristopher Brock shouldn’t be any of his business, but he couldn’t help but express his concern for her after learning about her pregnancy.
“Listen, how well do you know this guy? You always told me how you want to be a mother, that’s your dream in life. I know for a fact you will be the best mother ever. I just want to make sure you’re with the right person,” the Los Angeles native told Carter on the show.
The former “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star went on to say that he’s not just going to stay silent if he thinks she is making the wrong decision, adding, “I think it’s a little quick that she’s pregnant already. That was quick. You never know.”
At one point, Jenner opened up to co-star Audrina Patridge about his honest thoughts on Carter’s boyfriend. He told the latter that his main concern after learning about the pregnancy was Brock.
“My main concern was him. Who is he? I’ve never met him. I thought it was soon,” he told Patridge.
However, he said in the end that he also trusts Carter’s judgment. “I trust she knows what she’s doing,” he added.
In the finale of the reality series, Jenner finally got the chance to meet Brock in person for the first time, and both shared mostly positive feedback on each other, as per E! News.
According to Jenner, Brock “seemed friendly” and “seemed nice.” As for Brock, he thought Jenner was “a super nice guy.” He also shared that since Jenner is a big part of Carter’s life, it was important for them to “have that talk and break the ground.”
Meanwhile, in the previous episode of the reality series, Jenner disclosed that he found it “hurtful” that his ex, who remains one of his good friends after their split, did not consider him as among the first people to know about the pregnancy.
“Of course it's hurtful to see all of these other people that seem to know that she's pregnant and not me. A baby was such a big part of our relationship and talk in our relationship,” he said. “I don't need to be the first one to know, but I think I should be in the top 10.”
Jenner and Carter first met in 2013 and started dating shortly after. They got engaged in 2016 and tied the knot in Bali in 2018. However, the two broke up after Carter was spotted getting cozy with Miley Cyrus.
Carter and Cyrus started dating after her split from Jenner, but their romance was short-lived. Following her 2019 heartbreak, she started seeing Brock.
