BTS’ Jimin Shares Health Update Following Appendicitis Surgery
BTS’ Jimin recently shared a health update and told fans he is recovering well following his emergency appendicitis surgery Monday.
Jimin wrote a message on the WeVerse app on Wednesday and assured fans, better known as ARMY, that he is doing well and that he will soon be discharged from the hospital.
“Everyone, were you all really worried? I am recovering well,” Jimin wrote with a smiley face emoji.
Shortly after this, he uploaded a follow up message saying, “Sorry for making everyone worry but I think I’ll be going home soon! I’ve been recovering well and eating all three meals a day, too. Please hang in there, I’ll be better and on my way to you in no time!”
Music label Big Hit Music announced Monday that Jimin underwent emergency surgical procedure after he complained of sudden abdominal pain and mild sore throat Sunday. Big Hit Music also announced that Jimin tested positive for COVID-19 while he was in the hospital.
Soon after the announcement, a slew of fan tweets trended on Twitter as they wished the 26-year-old artist a speedy recovery. The topics “#GetWellSoonJimin and “Jimin Jimin” reached over a million tweets as followers expressed concern for their favorite BTS member.
ARMY rejoiced on Twitter upon learning of Jimin’s recovery.
“I have been crying buckets over him. This made me feel so much better hearing from him. I love this man so much,” a user wrote.
Another ARMY chimed in and wrote, “he added a new post! thank you for the update jimin my heart is so happy, we will always wait for you angel.”
In their previous announcement, Big Hit Music also assured fans that Jimin is vaccinated and he is receiving treatment for COVID-19, adding that he did not come into contact with any of his bandmates during the infectious stage of the disease.
ARMY again trended a Twitter topic on Wednesday “DinnerWithJimin #GetWellSoonJimin” and posted snaps of food to encourage Jimin on his recovery.
“Happy Lunar New Year!!! Jimin, I am sharing this with you. Being in the hospital for the holidays is sad but I hope this makes you smile!! #DinnerWithJimin #GetWellSoonJimin," @user@Jimi1Park said.
