BTS Jin surprised fans with a military-life update, posting photos of him from camp while wearing a military uniform and writing a sweet-but-short message about his condition.

The 30-year-old member of the world's biggest boy group took to Weverse on Wednesday to share how his life has been so far after enlisting in South Korea's mandatory military service last month.

"I'm enjoyably spending my time here. I'm posting photos after receiving permission from the military. ARMY, always be happy and take care," Jin wrote in the caption of his post. He attached photos of him wearing a military uniform, taken during the completion ceremony of his basic training, according to Soompi.

Now that the "Astronaut" singer's training is complete, he would continue his military service as an assistant instructor in the same battalion where he finished his training, the outlet noted.

Fans, known as ARMY, reacted to Jin's update on Twitter and expressed how "proud" they were of the K-pop star. Some users also said they felt relief knowing that Jin was "in good health" and "happy."

"So happy to know that you are happy, Jin. Thank you for coming home for a while and updating us. PROUD OF YOU, JIN," one user wrote.

Another commented, "So happy and proud of you, our superstar, our precious moon. He's shining even in [the] military too."

"Miss you a lot worldwide handsome," a third user said.

Earlier this month, Jin also greeted his fans with a pre-recorded video of him filmed before he entered the military on Dec. 13. It was uploaded on BTS' official YouTube channel.

"Hello everyone, this is Jin of BTS! I won't be a civilian anymore by the time this is out, but I'm here in front of the camera because I wanted to leave you something even if it's just leaving a message," Jin said in the video message, adding that he was filming the video while on the set of one of South Korea's longest-running reality shows, "Running Man."

The singer promised fans that he would be leaving videos and records "once every few months," whenever he was available, even if it was "just checking in briefly."

"I may not be by your side at this very moment, but I'll go looking for you soon, so if you wait for just a little bit, I will be back soon," he concluded.

Jin is expected to complete his service with the military in 18 months. The other six members of the globally acclaimed K-pop group, including RM, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, V, and Suga, have yet to release details about their enlistment despite making the announcement last October.
