BTS’ Jungkook Reveals This Is More Important To K-Pop Band Than Dating

BTS, whose members have almost never been attached to romance rumors, joked that they prioritize getting some much-needed rest over dating.

During a recent interview with Esquire, BTS spoke about a wide range of topics, including the way they started off their career, what masculinity means to them and their newly released album, "BE."

When it comes to the topic of dating, BTS was asked if they were currently in relationships, if they had time to date and if they were allowed to do so by their company. The answer to all the questions was a simple and clear “No.”

Jungkook chimed in, “The most important thing for us now is to sleep.” Suga supported the 23-year-old singer’s statement, adding, “Can you see my dark circles?”

However, the interviewer noticed that he had no dark circles and all the boys looked flawless on the Zoom chat.

“Our love life—twenty-four hours, seven days a week—is with all the ARMYs all over the world," RM quipped.

BTS is not dating anyone, at least not officially. As for the reason why they have chosen to put off romance, the members said they realized that they have a huge responsibility when it comes to their management company, Big Hit Entertainment, of which they are shareholders.

“Our company started with twenty to thirty people, but now we have a company with so many employees,” RM said.

“We have our fans, and we have our music. So we have a lot of things that we have to be responsible for, to safeguard. I think that’s what an adult is,” the rapper continued.

BTS, which comprises Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Jimin, RM, Suga and V, have always been lauded for their professionalism and love for music. They are known to prioritize their fandom, the ARMY, and stay away from scandals and rumors.

Very little is known to people about their love life. The authenticity of the few rumors floating around the members has never been verified.

Meanwhile, BTS made it to the nominations list of the 2021 Grammy Awards with their first all English single, “Dynamite.” The winners will be announced on Jan. 31, 2021.
