K-pop band BTS, or the Bangtan Boys, is planning on making a comeback in February, with a new album after the success of “WINGS,” their last release, a music industry source told Yonhap News Agency on Wednesday.

BTS had a successful comeback last October, with “Wings” selling 751,000 copies to become the highest selling album in South Korea last year. The band’s “Wings” and “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt. 2” featured on Billboard’s World Albums End of the Year Chart at the sixth and ninth spot respectively. The list was topped by Mumford & Sons With Baaba Maal, The Very Best & Beatenberg with the EP “Johannesburg.”

BTS also ranked at No. 34 on the Social 50 Artists Chart, coming behind The Weeknd and followed by Martin Garrix in the list that was topped by Justin Bieber.

According to Yonhap’s source, the album is currently in production and will be an extension of the “Wings” LP, but its format — whether it will include only original content or repackaged old tracks — is yet to be decided.

“It’s true that BTS is currently preparing with the goal of a comeback in February, but nothing has yet been confirmed... They are still discussing what type of release they will put out. No time period for a release has been set,” the band’s record label Big Hit Entertainment said in a clarification posted by allkpop.com.

BTS is set to embark on a world tour, called the “2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour,” this year. Starting with performances at the Gocheok Sky Dome in western Seoul on Feb. 18-19, the boy band will also perform in Chile, Brazil and the United States, with dates for concerts at Newark, New Jersey and Anaheim, California already released.

The latest album will have a short promotional period because of the “WINGS” tour, reports say.
