If you think BTS members are the type who would spend their hard-earned cash in a flash, think again. In a recent episode of “Run BTS” titled “War of Money Staycation,” the septet proved that they still find things expensive despite being millionaires.

In Episode 150 of “Run BTS”, RM, Jin, Jungkook, V, J-Hope, Jimin and Suga were ushered into the luxurious Josun Palace Hotel by the show’s staff for a staycation.

After two rounds of guessing games, they were booked in separate suites and were asked to join a Zoom call to learn about their mission for the episode -- ordering room service.

Each member was handed a cue card where they were instructed to order food using the budget provided by the staff.

At first, they thought it was no big deal. Jungkook even made a joke about ordering all the food on the menu.

“Where’s the menu? I will order everything,” he said with a smile.

Later in the video, he is shown saying, “Why is the food so expensive?”

“Can I order right away?,” J-Hope said excitedly, but his eagerness changed into shock as he got a closer look at the menu.

“This is too expensive,” he told his bandmates in the Zoom call.

Later, a voice-over of one of the show’s crew explained that the boyband members needed to order food to max out the budget that was allocated. The staff member declined to disclose how much the total food budget was but he said if BTS was successful with their mission, prize money of $6,000 (7 million Korean Won) will be divided among them.

The BTS members were unaware that the food prices were bloated by the staff for the sake of the game.

“Green Salad is $128.72 (₩150,000). This is crazy,” J-Hope said.

“Is this 10 times more expensive than the actual price?” RM inquired.

“The milk is $128.72. This is crazy,” Jimin said. “If you order coffee and milk, it’s $257.29 (₩300,000),” he continued.

When the performers took turns in voicing their frustration over the food prices, the crew member finally told the boyband to relax as the prices were not real.

In the final snippets of the show, RM could be seen ordering jjapaguri with ribs, J-Hope ordering a petit pound cake and Jungkook ordering a beef cheeseburger and french fries.

The show’s succeeding episode will reveal if the Bangtan Boys were able to succeed in their mission.

Josun Palace Hotel is located in Seoul’s busy financial district, Gangnam and is known to provide people with posh accommodation and authentic culinary offerings.
