  • BTS won three awards from the American Music Awards including Artist of the Year
  • The septet thanked the ARMY for their support
  • RM's spoiler was captured by a Twitter user who posted a transcript of the livestream

After taking home three trophies including the coveted Artist of the Year title, BTS celebrated their victory from this year’s American Music Awards with a livestream dedicated to their fans Monday night. However, the victorious moment must have been too exciting for BTS leader RM as he accidentally let out a spoiler of the Grammys much to the surprise of the other members of the group.

The septet took to VLive Monday night to celebrate the moment with their loyal fans, known as ARMY, after taking home two other awards: Favorite Pop Duo or Group and Favorite Pop Song for “Butter.”

The group happily took over the meal prepared for them by their crew in their hotel room and talked about the AMAs after raising their glasses over a bottle of champagne.

“Actually, on the stage, we couldn’t hear anything with shouts,” RM began.

“I couldn’t hear myself,” Jungkook quipped.

“It’s been a while since I got nervous and thrilled,” Jimin revealed while J-Hope added that he enjoyed passing through the audience while performing “My Universe” with Coldplay despite social distancing warnings.

The group went on to reminisce about their past performances and collectively thanked the ARMY for their awards, saying, “Focus on ARMY!”

In the middle of the livestream, J-Hope wondered if they would win a Grammy this year.

But instead of just agreeing with J-Hope, RM said, “Our video came out anyway,” and immediately followed it up with, “Oh!”

The list of the Grammy nominations for 2022 is yet to be revealed, so his remark surprised his bandmates as if confirming that they already received a nomination for the prestigious event.

Jin teased RM about his mistake saying, “Namjoon, the staff just pulled their hair out.”

But RM quickly reversed the spoiler saying, “I already spit it out so, I think they might do something that day, yeah. I mean, wouldn’t they say our name. I’m just hoping for that.”

The moment was captured in this tweet by user @modooborahae accompanied by a transcript of what RM said, “On the [24th], the Grammy noms are being announced, let’s all get together and watch…I mean our video comes out anyway so, Oh. Right. It could come out.”

In addition, this tweet shows the group’s surprise after RM’s accidental revelation.

“V looks so frustrating [sic], lol,” user @jkmv121 wrote.

In October, the global sensation submitted their Grammys entry, “Butter” for the category Best Pop Duo/Group after failing to get a Grammy last year for Best Pop Duo/Group for the track "Dynamite."

The group ended their livestream by inviting their fans to watch their upcoming concerts at the SoFi stadium in L.A. on Nov. 28 and 29 and Dec. 1 and 2.
