South Korean boy band BTS’s "Dynamite" music video breaks another YouTube record and becomes the fastest single to reach 200 million views!
The retro-themed music video has definitely taken the world by storm since it was released on Aug. 21. The single’s refreshing theme uplifted the fans with its catchy lyrics, BTS members' priceless dance moves, and positive energy!
"Dynamite" set the record for being the fastest music video to reach the 200 million views milestone on YouTube. It achieved the feat within four days and 12 hours of its release. This record was previously held by Blackpink's "How You Like That" music video which had set the record at seven days, 46 minutes.
The single also broke numerous other YouTube records since its release and currently has 210 million views and 15 million likes.
"Dynamite" debuted with the biggest YouTube premiere in history. It became the fastest YouTube video to gain over 10 million views in just 21 minutes of its release.
It also achieved the records of being the fastest music video to reach the 100 million milestones withing two days, four hours, and 21 minutes. On Aug. 23, "Dynamite" also broke the record for the fastest music video on YouTube to attain 150 million views.
BTS fans are expecting the music video to continue its streak and break more records in the future.
The seven-member band now has a total of 16 music videos with over 200 million views, according to Soompi. The songs include "Dynamite," "MIC Drop," "Dope," "Not Today," "Fire," "Blood Sweat & Tears," "On," "IDOL," "Boy With Luv," "War of Hormone," "Fake Love," "DNA," "Save Me," "Boys In Luv," "I Need U" and "Spring Day."
The new all-English single has also taken over rankings on various music charts including Spotify, iTunes, and more. The band also recently released two audio remix versions of "Dynamite" along with a "B-Side" MV for the single.
Meanwhile, BTS will be performing "Dynamite" for the first time at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards which will broadcast live at 8 p.m. Sunday. The band has been nominated for three categories including "Best Pop Video," "Best K-Pop Video," and "Best Choreography."
