BTS’ V Turns 26; Receives Heartfelt Messages From Bandmates, Lizzo [Photos]

BTS’ Kim Tae-Hyung, commonly known as V, celebrated his 26th birthday Thursday and received a flurry of exciting greetings from his bandmates and friend, Grammy winning singer, Lizzo.

Fellow BTS members RM and Jimin took the lead Wednesday night and tweeted their birthday greetings to the vocalist accompanied by never-before-seen candid snaps of V.

Using the group’s official Twitter handle, Jimin posted a photo of a seemingly annoyed V who may have been roused from a good sleep and pranked by his bandmates for a candid shot.

“My love Happy Birthday bro,” Jimin captioned his tweet.

RM also took to the group’s official Twitter handle and wrote the same caption alongside a photo of the birthday boy in another unguarded moment.

J-Hope took to his Instagram page and posted a photo of V on his story which V reposted on his record-breaking Instagram page. Aside from this, J-Hope also posted a photo of him and V in colorful shirts and wrote, “My bro.”

Earlier this month, V scored two new Guinness World Records for the Instagram account to reach one million and 10 million followers on the social networking site.

The boyband’s official Twitter page uploaded eight more photos of V and started a trending hashtag #HAPPYVDAY and #HappyBirthdayTaehyung.

BTS fan and singer Lizzo also took to Twitter and shared a fan-made artwork of her and V and wrote, “#HAPPYVDAY somebody made this and it’s soooo cute! Happy bday V.” The artwork was based on a photo that was taken at Harry Styles’ L.A. concert in November where the pop star finally met V, Jungkook, Jimin and J-Hope.

The “Truth Hurts” singer has been vocal about her support for BTS, especially V and Jimin. She even created freestyle rap verses dedicated to the duo back in September following a fan's suggestion.

Highlighting the friendship between the two BTS members, Lizzo rapped, “I love you/you love me/just like Jimin love some V.”

In the same month, she covered "Butter" on BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge.

The “Boys” singer was also present on the first day of the "BTS Permission To Dance – L.A." concert early this month. She tweeted a timelapse of the concert and wrote, “Timelapse- beautiful."
