Buckle Up: 'The Bachelor' Arie Luyendyk Jr. Defends Lauren Burnham After Leaving Baby At Home
“The Bachelor” alum Arie Luyendyk Jr. was speedy when it came to telling the haters to pump the brakes. The race car driver turned reality star was inspired to leave a comment in defense of his wife Lauren Burnham as an angry internet mob attempted to shame her for going out to lunch on Thursday. The outing marked the first time leaving 1-week-old daughter Alessi at home and there were some agitated commenters who were not here for it.
“First time out of the house without Alessi and I only cried one time,” she wrote on Instagram as she went to lunch with her sister, Heather. “I’d say it’s a win.”
However, many people thought otherwise, as evident by their hostile sentiments. Not to worry, though, as good guy Arie raced into the conversation to tell people to chill.
“To all the negative comments regarding leaving her with her grandma for a 45min lunch, cut her some slack! It was my idea because she has been working so hard to keep up and quite frankly I commend her...” he posted in response to the onslaught of mom shame.
He then added, “I get so frustrated at the comments because she is such a kind soul and takes these comments to heart. Be kind people!”
No word yet on whether or not the aforementioned commenters have zoomed away from the so-called controversy by now, but something tells me they probably have.
