Multiple news sources are reporting that one woman has been fatally shot at a Buffalo, N.Y., hospital.

Police have confirmed that one female victim has been killed as a result of a gunshot wound sustained Wednesday morning on the grounds of the Erie County Medical Center, which is described as being in complete lockdown, according to the Associated Press.

SWAT teams and other officers have blocked off the 65-acre campus, while the alleged shooter remains at large.

Officials are reporting that the Buffalo shooting took place around 8:15 a.m. inside a building that houses outpatient services and offices. The building is located adjacent to the hospital's main building.

Police aren't allowing anyone in or out of the hospital, with incoming patients being diverted to another hospital, according to the AP.
