Caitlyn Jenner Comments On Rob Kardashian And Blac Chyna Baby News, Says She’s ‘Proud’

Caitlyn Jenner is over the moon that she’s going to welcome another grandchild. Rob Kardashian and fiancée Blac Chyna announced via Instagram on May 6 that they were expecting a baby together, and Jenner couldn’t be happier with the news.

In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” at the GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday, the 66-year-old “I Am Cait” star gushed about her former stepson’s big news, saying that she was “proud” of the 29-year-old sock designer.

“You know, everybody goes through tough times in their life and deals with a lot of different things,” she continued, referring to Kardashian's previous retreat from the spotlight as he dealt with depression and weight gain. Kardashian resurfaced after revealing in January that he was dating Chyna.

“I always look at it as ‘Everybody has their stuff,’ you know? It’s how you deal with your stuff, and how you come out the other end,” Jenner said, adding that “things are going well.”

Chyna and Kardashian revealed they were having a baby by posting an emoji — called a Chymoji — of the model rocking a large baby bump on their Instagram accounts. It’s believed that Chyna, who has a 3-year-old son with ex Tyga, is several months along and due this fall. Chyna and Kardashian are reported to be getting married late this summer.

Even though Jenner, who was previously married to Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, seems to be onboard with the pair’s surprise baby news, the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family may be having a harder time accepting it. People magazine reported that his half-sister Kylie Jenner, who recently split from Tyga, and the rest of the girls were “super shocked” to learn their brother was going to be a father. “But at this time, Kylie especially was pushed to swallow her pride and support her family, even if she didn’t want to,” the source said. “She’s doing it for the greater good of everyone involved.”

Kardashian opened up about becoming a dad last week, telling E! News that it’s a very “exciting” time. “It’s my first time, so everything is exciting. Literally,” he said. “I’m happy, and I just like to keep it private … as private as can be.”
