Gamers are not happy with the recently announced "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" special features, which will be available for PlayStation users.

Sony recently revealed a set of exclusive features, which will be available for PS4 and PS5 users while playing Activision's "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War".

Following the announcement, several fans took to social media to express their disappointment over the "unfair advantage." Some Reddit users said the "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" exclusive offer is an anti-consumer strategy. Others said it's like removing features from other gaming platforms and marketing them as legitimate PlayStation exclusives.

Some game enthusiasts pointed out that the strategy is creating a division in the player base and "disenfranchising" the community.

The favoritism Activision is showing to the PlayStation community is "devaluing" "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" experience for Xbox and PC users, Gamerant reported. It said PlayStation users will now be able to unlock items that affect gameplay early. A Reddit user said the company is going "beyond console exclusivity" and fostering "console advantage" with the strategy.

On Oct. 23, PlayStation, in a blog post, announced some benefits for PS4 and PS5 users. This includes extra class slots, weapon XP, Double XP events and Tier skips. PlayStation also mentioned extra perks and time-limited game modes for gamers using Sony's gaming consoles.

Gaming studio Treyarch, which is the developer of the Call of Duty series, said PlayStation users will now get up to two additional loadout slots when they reach level four. They will also receive exclusive Double XP events each month.

That's not all; they will also get 25% extra bonus weapon experience when they play with friends even at cross-platform. With this, a PS5 or PS4 player can enjoy the game with a friend using PC for gaming, but only the PlayStation user will get a 25% bonus.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" is scheduled to launch on Nov. 13. It is playable on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X.
