'Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War' Season 3: Release Date, Weapons, Maps And More

Activision rolled out on March 29 the mid-season update of "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" dubbed Reloaded. While the game is halfway through its current season, some fans are already looking forward to what the next season would be about. Here are some of the leaked details about the game's third season content, including its release date.

Season 3 Release Date

Activision has not yet announced details related to "Call of Duty: Warzone" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" Season 3. However, using the end date of the current season's Battle Pass and based on the previous release patterns of both games, it would most likely drop on April 22. If not on that day, both games' third season could start within that week.

Leaked Content

Since no official information about "Warzone" and "Black Ops Cold War" Season 3 is available at the moment, fans heavily rely on leaks and speculations. Just like the previous seasons, players can expect new maps, weapons, operators and features. On Twitter, WarzoneNews hinted at a new map and operator.

Apparently, the new map is called Echelon, which integrates parts of previous "COD" maps like Vertigo, Highrise and Dome. The insider claimed that the map has been held back since around the game's launch period. Additionally, the said map will have a couple of Dome-like features, would be set on a high building and would hold 6v6 matches.

Another map called Dunes is also rumored to arrive in "Black Ops Cold War" Season 3. The said map is an area reportedly enclosed by sand. It is located in the European mountains. The insider also claimed to have found voice lines for Alex Mason.

This could suggest that he could be one of the main operators that would be available in Season 3. Apart from these, "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" Season 3 would reportedly see other multiplayer changes. Reliable industry insider GamingRevolution noted that the third season will see the arrival of the legendary place Kino der Toten. Along with it is a new playable character, Edward Richthofen.

New Weapons

GamingRevolution also shared the list of weapons reportedly coming to "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" Season 3. Following their debut in "Warzone," the FAL and Dragunov will launch in "Cold War" too. The insider also mentioned that the Skorpion SMG could arrive in the game's third season as well.
