  • Activision is working on the next game "Call Of Duty 2021"
  • Latest rumors revealed official name and settings of "Call of Duty 2021"

Activision's "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" is one of the most downloaded PlayStation titles in January, proving its raving success. While the game's reception in the industry is impressively overwhelming, rumors of the next "Call of Duty" are also rife online. The latest rumors claim the next game's potential title and settings, which in this article is referred to as "Call of Duty 2021."

On Twitter, reliable industry insider Tom Henderson shared two images, which fans speculated to be the potential name of "Call of Duty 2021." The tweet shares an image of a gorilla and men in combat gear equipped with high-caliber weapons. In the text, the insider hinted that if the upcoming "Call of Duty" installment is not set in the future, the industry might get gorilla and modern warfare or Guerrilla Warfare.

If this is accurate, the incoming game's official name could be "Call of Duty: Guerrilla Warfare." This title could offer further information on what the game would be about. The name is highly possible, and guerrilla warfare is something that the franchise has never explored before. While Henderson has provided the industry with credible information in the past, this does not guarantee that the next game would be officially called "Call of Duty: Guerrilla Warfare."

Meanwhile, another industry insider named Okami suggested that "Call of Duty 2021" would be set in the 1950s and bring players to the heart of the Korean War. The tweet cites Modern Warzone as the source of information, which has a proven track record in providing accurate information about "Call of Duty" titles over the years. If this is true, this would be the first time that the devs would introduce the Korean War in the franchise.

Like all other leaks, fans should temper their expectations and treat these details with a pinch of salt. So far, Activision only hinted that a premium "Call of Duty" title is releasing this year, but it has not revealed anything related to it. The video game company launched November 2020 "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War," the latest installment to the "CoD" franchise.
