‘Call Of Duty: Mobile’ Bringing Fan-Favorite Map Soon

“Call of Duty: Mobile” players are in for a big treat.

On Saturday (April 11), the game developers and publisher teased fans with the addition of a classic map in the game: Rust. While it is not specified when it will be rolled out to “Call of Duty: Mobile,” the teaser noted that it is “coming soon.”

For those who don’t know, Rust is one of the most popular maps in Call of Duty history. It was first revealed in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” and has since grown into a fan-favorite, thanks to its small size and compacted area that makes fighting fun and messy.

Rust is widely known as the best area to fight one on one as well. In fact, it was the biggest reason why the map became a huge success and a classic in the CoD community.

As for “Call of Duty: Mobile,” it is enjoying a great year since its historic release in October last year – during which it steamrolled to 148 million downloads for the second-largest mobile game launch. Activision continues to support it as well, releasing new content on a regular basis to keep its fan entertained, especially during this time of health crisis.

The game, which features a compilation of modes and popular maps in the Call of Duty series, has also been nominated and won several awards. Perhaps the most noteworthy win for the popular first-person shooter is its Best Mobile Game plum in The Game Awards 2019.

For what it’s worth, it also won EE Mobile Game of The Year during the BAFTA Games Awards earlier this April. The said recognition is the only award of the night that was voted by the public, which is a further testament to how popular the game is.

It remains to be seen what other contents will come in the game in the near future, especially since there are a lot of other modes, maps and weapons not included in the game. However, it sure looks like updates won’t be slowing down any time soon given the success and increasing popularity of the CoD mobile version.
