‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Gets Prop Hunt Mode For April Fools’
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is getting injected with some humor for April Fools’ Day, and it comes in the form of a limited Prop Hunt playlist this weekend. A YouTube trailer for the event offers a brief tease of what to expect.
For those who haven’t heard of Prop Hunt before, it’s a modded PC mode that first began development in 2011. Now, five years later, folks on PS4 and Xbox One can also get in on the party. In simple terms, Prop Hunt is a Call Of Duty version of hide and seek. One player acts as the seeker, and the rest are disguised as objects in the environment. After 30 seconds, the seeker patrols the map to find and kill the impostors.
It’s not yet clear how lobbies will be distributed or which maps will be part of the playlist. That being said, Vacant was visibly shown in the teaser. The event is set to run from March 31 at 1 p.m. EDT through April 3 at 1 p.m. EDT.

Since Prop Hunt was first teased earlier this week, there’s been substantial outcry from fans to keep the mode available as a permanent addition. It’s also been mentioned alongside Slasher, a recent limited mode where players are hunted by Halloween’s Michael Myers. No official word has been offered by Raven Software about how either mode will be implemented in the future.
Those who’ve been following Modern Warfare Remastered closely will know that Prop Hunt isn’t the first sign of Raven’s holiday spirit. This month’s Shamrock & Awe promotion for St. Patrick’s Day carries on until April 3.
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available in the Legacy Edition of Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Both games are playable on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
