Following months of leaks and speculations, Activision has finally announced the official reveal of this year's series installment, "Call of Duty: Vanguard," which is set to take place on "Call of Duty: Warzone." Interestingly, the American video game publisher is willing to reward players with exciting gifts if they participate in the upcoming event.
The official reveal of "Call of Duty: Vanguard" is scheduled to go live Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET. However, fans who jump in between 12:30 p.m. ET and 12:29 p.m. ET will get rewards such as Double Player XP, Double Weapon XP and Double Battle Pass XP.
The "Call of Duty: Vanguard" reveal event, dubbed as Battle of Verdansk, will be a Player versus Environment (PvE) mode. The official Twitter account of "Call of Duty" also teased about a Care Package that will be given to the participants if they log in while the event is active.
The rewards include "new weapon and knife blueprints, a bike skin, a timepiece, and more." To claim the rewards, players are required to"join the fight, defeat the target, get to the exfil." The developers also promised that the event would include new elements to the game as per the Call of Duty blog.
The developers said it would include, "a new kind of weapon, hinting "it's bigger than anything we've seen before." The blog also encourages players to work together, stating completion of the Battle of Verdansk will entail "all squads working together to get the job done."
Activision also rolled out a new teaser trailer of "Call of Duty: Vanguard" ahead of its official event in "Call of Duty: Warzone." In a video available below, fans can see elements clearly pointing out that the game is set during the Second World War.
The teaser also shows remains of planes reminiscent of the period the game is set, as well as old weapons. Fans can also see a forest located in Germany. The worldwide reveal of "Call of Duty: Vanguard" in "Warzone" is not really a surprise, especially to fans since the developers pulled off the same stunt when it revealed "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" last year.
"Call of Duty: Vanguard" is scheduled to release sometime in the holiday of 2021. The game will launch on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
