"Call of Duty: Warzone" players have a theory that Verdansk would be where a nuclear event in the game's second season would take place. Fans have varying details on how this would happen but they all believe that it would totally destroy all of Verdansk. Interestingly, a new discovery claim "Call of Duty: Warzone" already hinted at the rumored event in-game.

The latest discovery about the rumored nuclear event in "Call of Duty: Warzone" Season 2 was shared on Reddit by user Mondoschristmas. The user apparently uncovered an elaborate easter egg within the hit battle royale game that seemingly backs the wild fan-theory. Players can find it by heading to the hut inside the TV station area, known as one of the many bunker locations in the game.

In the location, "Call of Duty: Warzone" players could find the map of Verdansk and if they aim at the map for several seconds, they will see an easter egg playing in front of them. When this is triggered, several explosions start to appear on the map. It lasts for about 30 seconds with the Verdansk map easily darkened by the series of explosions.

Following the explosions, poison gas permeates throughout the room, without affecting the player inside. It is probably the radiation that the nuclear explosion gives off after it blows on Verdansk. This easter egg could be the first in-game hint that the rumored nuke event in Verdansk is more than just a fan-theory. While there is a great chance that the event might eventually happen, Raven Software has not yet confirmed anything related to it.

"Call of Duty: Warzone" is currently in its second season. While nothing is official yet about the nuke event, the month of April is looking like another great month for players of the hit battle royale title. There are rumors that the devs would roll out the Ural Mountains that could feature 250 player lobbies.

While the latest information about the nuke event is interesting, it is worth noting that these are not official. "Call of Duty: Warzone" players should therefore temper their expectations and take this information with a pinch of salt.
