Calvin Klein Opts for Monochromatic Hues at 2012 New York Fashion Week (PHOTOS)
Calvin Klein's creative director Francisco Costa presented a striking collection at the 2012 New York Fashion Week comprising super urban creations in monochromatic hues.
The Fall/Winter 2012 collection was an austere collection with models having minimalist looks with bare faces and ponytails. Wearing apparels mostly in the black color palette, they appeared like Rooney Mara in the The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
The Calvin Klein collection was the last major show at the 2012 New York Fashion Week and thus attracted a number of celebrities and fashionistas from the industry. This includes starlets Rooney Mara and Emma Stone seated at the front row of the event.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the label created the collection for a woman who can seduce and charm with intelligence and strength, but without wearing anything too tight or revealing.
In fact, Costa purposely created a looser hourglass shape for this muse that gives room to move and breathe, sculpting stiff wool fabrics into outfits with rounded jewel necklines and a little extra fabric at the hips.
