Is Cam Newton Married? Meet Kia Proctor, Girlfriend Of Carolina Panthers Quarterback

As Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton strives to win his first Super Bowl title just five years into his NFL career, his biggest fan Sunday undoubtedly will be his longtime girlfriend, Kia Proctor. Newton has remained hush-hush about his relationship with Proctor, but the couple apparently has been dating for years and recently welcomed their first child.

Until recently, few people even knew that Newton had a serious girlfriend, let alone the fact she was pregnant. The superstar quarterback left practice early to go to the hospital for his son’s birth Christmas Eve. He finally shared the exciting news on Twitter a few days later:

Newton, 26, gave a shout-out to his girlfriend and their newborn son during the Panthers’ game against the Atlanta Falcons Dec. 27. After scoring a touchdown in the first quarter, he celebrated by cradling the football as if it were a baby.

Their son, Chosen Sebastian Newton, is not Proctor’s first child. The 27-year-old has a daughter from a previous relationship. She has shared photographs of the girl on Instagram.

Newton and Proctor sparked dating rumors in 2013 when they made their first public appearance together at the Kentucky Derby. The Carolina Panthers MVP candidate supposedly first met Proctor at the Stadium Club in Washington, where she was working as a stripper under the name Hazel, according to the sports blog Terez Owens. She quit stripping before dating Newton and now models, posting some of her glamor shots on Instagram.

Proctor lived in Maryland and Virginia for several years while growing up. She now resides with Newton in his hometown of Atlanta, according to Heavy.com.
