Cameron Diaz Dating Benicio Del Toro? Hides From Cameras During Dinner Date In New York City

Cameron Diaz and Benicio Del Toro did their best to avoid being photographed together while out in New York Saturday night, sparking rumors that the two may be an item. Diaz, 41, and Del Toro, 46, have known each other for years, as they both starred in the 1998 movie "Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas," so it is possible that friendship has evolved into romance.

While attending the grand opening of TAO Downtown restaurant, Diaz tried to avoid the paparazzi by hiding her face with her cell phone. She was dressed casual chic in blue skinny jeans, a white blouse and black booties. Del Toro made sure to always be a few paces behind the actress, but also appeared to be more casually dressed.

Del Toro and Diaz both have dated their fair share of fellow celebrities, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they gave a relationship a try. Del Toro’s longest Hollywood relationship was from 1988 to 1992, with Italian actress Valeria Golino.

The two were engaged for four years before calling it quits. Afterward, Del Toro reportedly dated Alicia Silverstone and Heather Graham and was even rumored to have had a steamy elevator romp with Scarlett Johansson in 2005. The actor has a 2-year-old daughter with Kimberly Stewart, Rod Stewart’s second child.

Diaz, meanwhile, has also been linked to a number of musicians, athletes and actors, such as Matt Dillon, whom she dated for three years back in 1995, and Jared Leto, whom she dated for around four years beginning in 1999. She also dated Justin Timberlake from 2003 to 2006 and baseball star Alex Rodriguez in 2010. Diaz has reportedly been single since they split in 2011.
