  • Cameron Diaz said she is currently "not looking to" make a movie
  • She explained that she is content with focusing on her wine brand and her family
  • Diaz last appeared in the 2014 film "Annie"

Cameron Diaz has not appeared in any projects since starring in the 2014 remake of musical "Annie," but she is content with a life without movie sets.

In her interview with SiriusXM's Bruce Bozzi during the segment "Quarantined with Bruce," the 48-year-old actress said she is leading a fulfilling life and confirmed she has no plans to make a Hollywood comeback anytime soon. However, Diaz did not completely rule out a possible return in the future.

"I'm never going to say never about anything in life," she said Thursday. "I'm just not that person. So will I ever make a movie again? I'm not looking to. But will I? I don't know. I have no idea."

Explaining the reason behind her decision, she said: "I couldn't imagine, being a mom now, where I'm at as a mother with my child at her first year, to have to be on a movie set that takes 14 hours, 16 hours of my day away from my child. I just couldn't."

"I wouldn't have been the mom that I am now had I chosen to do that at any other time in my life," she added.

The "Charlie's Angels" star said she is content with focusing on her wine business, Avaline, and her family.

"That's pretty much it right now. ... Avaline is the only sort of day-to-day work that I'm doing other than, you know, being a wife and a mother," she said. "It really has been the most fulfilling part of my life so far."

In January 2020, Diaz and partner Benji Madden announced on Instagram that they had welcomed a baby girl, Raddix Madden.

"Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden. She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family," the couple said in a note posted on Instagram.

They were thrilled to share the happy news with fans but also said they won't be sharing photos of their daughter to "protect our little one's privacy."

"While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one's privacy. So we won't be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would even say RAD," the couple shared.

True to her word, Diaz has yet to post any photos featuring her child on social media and instead has been promoting her wine brand and sharing pictures and videos of delicious meals on Instagram.
