Camila Cabello’s First Song As A Solo Artist Leaked Online
Camila Cabello’s first song since leaving Fifth Harmony has been released.
The song titled “Love Incredible” was leaked online, according to E! News. In the song, which is said to be a collaboration between Cabello and Cashmere Cat, the former Fifth Harmony singer sings about a powerful kind of love that she can’t get enough of.
While the tempo of the song posted on YouTube has been altered, it serves as a preview of what to expect from Cabello as a solo artist.
Aside from the song, Cabello is also slated to perform as a solo artist for the first time. The singer tweeted about going to the U.K. to perform — her first time without group members Ally Brooke Hernandez, Dinah Jane Hansen, Normani Kandei and Lauren Jauregi. “I’m soooooooo excited omg,” the singer said of her upcoming gig.
Cabello is going to perform her song “Bad Things” in collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly at BBC’s Radio Lounge. The singer recorded the track while she was still a member of Fifth Harmony.
Speaking of the decision to leave the group, Cabello said she felt uncomfortable with being oversexualized. In an appearance on Lena Dunham’s podcast, Cabello said she understands that sex sells, but she felt uncomfortable with how they were portrayed.
“Especially with being a girl group, there’s been a lot of times where people have tried to sexualize us to just get more attention,” the singer said. “Unfortunately, sex sells. There’s definitely been times where there’s stuff that I have not been comfortable with and I’ve had to put my foot down.”
Cabello has always been vocal about the idea of going solo. In an interview with Latina magazine in 2015, the singer said: “We’d be lying if we all said this is a picture-perfect thing, like we all completely agreed on the album track list and what the sound and the music video treatment would be like, which usually happens in bands who grew up together.”
Cabello is currently working on her first solo record.
