Camilla Parker Bowles is not shy to make travel demands even if she's on a trip abroad.

According to Kara Godfrey, a journalist for Express, in 2007, Camilla and Prince Charles traveled to Kuwait as part of their 10-day tour of the Gulf region. During the tour, the Duchess of Cornwall realized that she forgot to bring her high heels and reportedly requested it to be flown from their home in Highgrove.

The pair of heels was intended to match Camilla's outfit for a dinner planned that evening with the Kuwaiti royal family. The shoe was sent over, but Camilla didn't use it all.

"The Duchess did not ask for the shoes to be sent, but a member of staff did arrange for them to be flown over to her after they realized that they had forgotten to pack them," the spokesman for Clarence House explained.

"They were not specially couriered, but were sent along with a number of items and paperwork as is often the case on royal tours."

According to Tom Bower in his book "Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles," it isn't new for Prince Charles and Camilla to make outrageous travel demands. In fact, Camilla reportedly demanded a private jet to accompany Prince Charles for a Global Environmental Citizen award in New York. However, the Foreign Office insisted that they fly British Airways, so she made an excuse that she had a cut hand to skip the trip.

The staff explained to her that arriving in a chartered jet to receive an environmental prize would not sit well with the public. They convinced her to still join her husband. Camilla agreed but requested that she took 14 off her staff with her.

In addition, when Camilla is invited to eat abroad, she will reportedly send the host a list of food that she likes and dislikes. She learned this from her husband, Prince Charles, who usually has people deliver organic food to the host before his arrival.

Aside from being very particular with food, Camilla and Prince Charles bring their own drink whenever they travel to avoid compromising their health. "Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall sometimes take their own alcohol so there’s no danger of their drinks being spiked," Telegraph reporter Gordon Rayner told Conde Nast Traveler.

Prince Charles brings gin and tonic while Camilla opts for red wine. They don't bring the drink themselves but let their bodyguards carry it for them.
