Camilla Parker Bowles is married to Prince Charles, who is the future king. But even though he is the heir to the throne and Camilla will become the future Queen or Queen Consort, this doesn’t make the mom of two lucky to be with her husband.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fans said that Camilla had to struggle with a lot of things simply because she’s married to Prince Charles. And because of this, she isn’t as lucky as what some people might think.

Alexandra Roach, a resident of the United Kingdom said that Prince Charles is probably not very easy to be with either but he’s the lucky one to have Camilla by his side.

“She has had to put up with a lot and still does since there are many who regard Diana blameless and have cast her as a pantomime villain forgetting conveniently the various married and attached men Diana had affairs with. Charles is probably not easy so she really must love him… Some might say she was luckier to marry Andrew Parker Bowles,” she said.

Marilyn Robinson, a retired workshop director, said that Camilla may only be considered lucky if people think that being a future Queen or Queen Consort is a desirable position.

“She will have to deal with a lot of negativity, probably Diana comparisons, and be under a microscope most of the time. I suppose if you think that all sounds glamorous then you would consider her lucky. Personally, I think it sounds like a lot of hard work,” she said.

Camilla wed Prince Charles in 2005 in a civil ceremony but the couple first dated each other in the 1970s. Unfortunately, their relationship was short-lived at that time because Prince Charles had to leave for the Royal Navy.

Three years later, the Prince of Wales found out that Camilla had already married her ex-husband. This reportedly devastated the future King.
