Camilla Reveals Prince Harry’s Secret To Helping Kids Behave At Kate’s Wedding

Prince Harry did his part to help the kids behave during Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.

According to royal author Marcia Moody in her 2013 book “ Kate: A Biography,” the Duke of Sussex came up with a way to entertain the little bridesmaids and pageboys so they would keep quiet during the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal wedding. Prince Harry apparently brought a toy to keep the kids entertained.

“Harry pulled this wiggly worm out of his pocket in the carriage to keep them amused!” Camilla Parker Bowles told Moody.

“Eliza loved it so much that she wouldn’t let go and it even made the official photographs,” the Duchess of Cornwall continued. “Can you believe it? She was holding on to my finger but in her other hand was the worm.”

Eliza is Camilla’s granddaughter. She’s the daughter of Laura Parker Bowles and Harry Lopes. The other bridesmaids were Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex’s daughter Lady Louise Windsor, Princess Margaret’s granddaughter Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones and Grace Van Cutsem.

Prince Harry also prepared a surprise for the bride and groom. The best man arranged a short drive for the newlyweds back to Clarence House in their father’s beloved open-topped Aston Martin Volante. The car was decked out in balloons, red white and blue streamers and a “JU5T WED” number plate. Prince William and Middleton were delighted upon seeing it.

That’s not all because Prince Harry also delivered a speech at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding reception. Meghan Markle’s husband prepared an “affectionate, warm and funny” message for his brother and sister-in-law. He was supposed to compliment Middleton’s “killer legs” in his speech but his then girlfriend Chelsy Davy advised him to delete the line as it might embarrass the bride.

Prince Harry mentioned in his speech that Prince William and Middleton’s decade-long romance was his inspiration, and this made the duchess shed a tear. He also ribbed his brother by saying he knew it was serious when Prince William started cooing down the phone at Middleton because the future king didn’t have a romantic bone.

Unfortunately, Prince William and Middleton’s royal wedding convinced Davy that she couldn’t make the same sacrifices as Middleton. She realized that she’s not meant to be a royal bride. Prince Harry and Davy broke up and he went on to marry Markle in 2018.
