Camilla ‘Secured Her Place’ At Prince Charles’ Side While Being ‘Jealous’ Of Kate

Camilla Parker Bowles was previously accused of being jealous of Kate Middleton. And things became worse between the two future Queens first before they got better.

In the book “Game of Crowns: Elizabeth, Camilla, Kate, and the Throne,” royal author Christopher Anderson that Camilla took her time because she carefully secured her spot at Prince Charles’ side. This happened while she was still feeling jealous of Prince William’s wife.

“Biding her time and tending carefully to her image, she gradually salvaged enough of her reputation to secure a place at her prince’s side – and her future as the next Queen,” she said.

However, it seems that the Duchess of Cambridge was also slowly doing the same thing.

“Young, gracious, smart, and stunning, the White Queen, known familiarly as just plain Kate, captured the world’s imagination even before she could officially lay claim to her royal lover’s heart. Although she lacked both the pedigree and the experience of the Black Queen, she also proved to be inordinately patient - and a cunning survivor of royal dramas and court intrigue,” he said.

After Middleton and Prince William welcomed their first two children, the mom of three casts the fate of the monarchy far into the future. And this didn’t seem to make Camilla happy.

According to Anderson, bigger tensions brewed between the two Duchesses because they were both focused on protecting their kings.

“Beneath the surface, tensions mounted as the two queens-in-waiting protected the interests of their kings—the lackluster, benighted Prince of Wales and his wildly popular son - and their competing courts vied for the love of the people and the power that comes with it,” he said.

But in recent years, Camilla and Middleton’s has already improved. Luckily for Prince Charles’ wife, Prince William’s wife was able to forgive him for trying to break their relationship apart.

Years ago, Camilla convinced the heir to the throne to talk to his eldest son regarding his relationship with Middleton. Their conversation led to Prince William ending things with the Duchess of Cambridge.
