Camilla Parker Bowles’ only son, Tom Parker Bowles, recently opened up about his and his sister Laura’s lives.

During his appearance on “Good Morning Britain,” Tom said that he and Laura are not quite part of the royal family. This is because they are the kids of Andrew Parker Bowles, who got married to Camilla in the 1970s.

In 2005, Prince Charles and Camilla decided to tie the knot in a civil wedding ceremony. Their union meant that Tom and Laura became Prince Charles’ adoptive children. Prince William and Prince Harry also became Camilla’s adoptive sons.

But it is also important to note that Camilla wasn’t a royal before she married Prince Charles. And as such, her two children haven’t been given any royal roles or even royal titles.

Prince William and Prince Harry, on the other hand, are the biological sons of the future King, which means that they are most oftentimes seen in public compared to their stepsiblings.

“My mother married into it. She’s part of it… We’re the common children… We’re just on the side,” he said.

Meanwhile, Express recently claimed that Prince Charles may give his stepchildren royal titles once he becomes King. However, this claim hasn’t been confirmed by the heir to the throne and the palace.

And by the looks of it, Prince Charles won’t ascend the throne anytime soon. His mother, Queen Elizabeth II, is still the reigning monarch. And by the looks of it, she will never abdicate despite her age of 93.

Following Her Majesty’s death, Prince Charles will take over. But his coronation won’t happen immediately after he sits on the throne. It is possible that the ceremony will take place months later after the entire world is done mourning the death of the Queen.

And according to a royal historian, the future King should be crowned in Scone and not at Westminster, where all the other monarchs were crowned.
