Candace Cameron Bure’s ‘A Shoe Addict’s Christmas’ Hallmark Premiere: Movie Trailer, Cast

Hallmark superstar Candace Cameron Bure is back with another Countdown to Christmas movie. “A Shoe Addict’s Christmas,” which also stars Luke Macfarlane, debuts on Hallmark Channel on Sunday night, as the final premiere of Hallmark’s 9 Night Thanksgiving Movie Event.

The air date for Bure’s new flick is very fitting, seeing as it comes just a few days before the 10th anniversary of her very first Hallmark Christmas movie, 2008’s “Moonlight & Mistletoe” with Tom Arnold and Christopher Wiehl. As for Macfarlane, this will be his third holiday film on the network.

“With Christmas approaching, Noelle Carpenter (Bure), a department store worker whose life lacks fulfillment, is asked to arrange a Christmas charity gala for a local fire station,” the synopsis begins. “One snowy night, when she finds herself accidentally locked in the store after closing, Noelle’s affinity for fashionable footwear leads her to the shoe department. There, Charlie (Jean Smart), an eccentric woman claiming to be her guardian angel, appears out of thin air and tells her she’s been sent to help her embrace romance, passion and the Christmas spirit.”

After trying on a pair of shoes at Charlie’s request, Noelle finds herself transported to Christmases past. She’s able to take a good look at some of the decisions she made in previous years, which just might change how she goes about her life in present day. When she gets back home, she meets fireman Jake (Macfarlane) as he’s moving into her same apartment building.

“Though she’s put off by his frivolous approach to life, she soon learns they must work together to plan the upcoming gala,” the synopsis teases. “With Noelle’s desire to arrange a formal event and Jake’s hoping for a more lighthearted affair, their visions immediately clash. But, as they work on preparations together, they soon begin falling for each other.”

Throughout the days of planning, Charlie continues to have Noelle try on shoes and get sent back to previous Christmases. With each one, she’s able to change something that she didn’t like from her past, but when a mysterious man shows up in the flashbacks, she starts to wonder if Jake might really be her true love after all.

“When a misunderstanding sends Jake storming off — and an opportunity to reconnect with her dad looks like it’s going to fall through — Noelle begins to lose faith in the Christmas spirit and her chances of having a fulfilling life,” the synopsis reveals. “On the eve of the Christmas gala, Charlie transports Noelle back to another Christmas past, giving her one last chance to make her wishes come true in time for Christmas.”
