Candace Owens Slammed On Twitter For Comments About 'Extremely Overweight' People, Vaccines
A conservative commentator received backlash on social media this week for a comment that “extremely overweight” people had no right to criticize fit healthy people’s choice to not get vaccinated for COVID-19.
"If you are extremely overweight - please do not think you have the authority to yell at people who are in shape and unvaccinated about trusting doctors, science, and preventable death. A little self-awareness goes a very long way," Candace Owens posted on Twitter on Sunday.

A little self-awareness goes a very long way.
Owens, 32, has often caused a stir for comments about COVID-19, vaccines, race and conservatism.
Twitter users quickly jumped on her latest comments, citing a lack of correlation between weight and vaccinations. Owens' post received nearly 10,000 retweets.
You do realize there are over weight people against this vaccine most people in Arizona getting it are skinny things so before you weight shame get your story straight. I follow you because you fight for people but if this is truly how you feel then its time to go.

Stop being fatphobic, obesity isn't just a matter of one's laziness & lack of self-control, it is can also be genetic or hormonal so making fun of extremely overweight people is distasteful; One doesn't have to look slim to be healthy. Promote body positivity & health awareness.

This comparison doesn’t really make sense. A person’s obesity only affects their health directly. Getting a vaccine for a communicable disease affects the health of everyone around them. Not really comparable.

These two things are quite unlike. Losing weight is an arduous process, it's not always people's fault if they are overweight, and you're not affecting other people that much by being overweight. Getting the vaccine is the easiest thing you could do and has benefits for others

I just lost two healthy, fit, unvaccinated friends, Candace.

Blaming the victim is an unkind way to distance yourself from the fear & reality that you may catch Covid.
One Twitter user appeared to point out the hypocrisy of Owens, who did not graduate college, challenging public statements from medical experts about COVID-19. Among other inflammatory remarks, Owens has called for Dr. Anthony Fauci to be "tried and put into federal prison."
If you dropped out of university after just one year--please do not think you have the education to dismiss the expertise of doctors and scientists who finished multiple degrees regarding medicine, science, and how to prevent death.
