Candis Cayne Laughs Off Caitlyn Jenner Dating Rumors, Insists They’re 'Really Good Friends'

Actress Candis Cayne denied she’s dating Caitlyn Jenner, insisting the two are just close friends. Cayne, who was thrust into the spotlight after becoming fast friends with Jenner on the E! docuseries “I Am Cait,” brushed off the romance speculation, saying she thinks the rumors are “hilarious.”

“We’re just really, really good friends,” Cayne said to “Extra” about the constant speculation about the two transgender celebrities. “I think it’s amazing. I think it’s hilarious. I think it just makes the whole discussion go further into a global universe.”

While Jenner, 65, admitted on earlier episodes of "I Am Cait" that she thought Cayne was attractive, the former Olympic athlete noted she had "absolutely no idea" whether their friendship could blossom into something more romantic. Cayne echoed those sentiments while speaking to "Extra," explaining she just wants to make "sure that [Jenner's] going through this world unscathed."

In fact, the actress said Jenner doesn’t have any romantic interests on the horizon right now, and she’s trying to get Jenner to loosen up and enjoy herself. “She’s opened up 200 percent since I met her -- she’s just, like, living every day super happy to be alive,” said Cayne. “Everybody just wants to be happy, and that’s the same with the LGBT community and especially the T community.”

Earlier this month, Cayne sat down for an interview with "Access Hollywood" and opened up about her close bond with Jenner. “Caitlyn and I are really good friends. I really love her a lot, and it’s been amazing being by her side through this whole process," said Cayne, adding that she's attracted to a "manly man" and her ideal match would be someone like Jon Stewart.

In an upcoming episode of “I Am Cait,” viewers will get to see Jenner let her hair down a little bit and party with Cayne at The Abbey, a gay bar in Los Angeles. Jenner even stuffs dollar bills in Cayne’s bra as the actress dances on a stage.
