LeBron James has a physique that would be acceptable in any sport. And seeing as how he has flourished in the NBA, boxing champion Canelo Alvarez feels that the King can excel at any other sport – including boxing.

Speaking recently to TMZ Sports, the Mexican Brawler singled out James as a rare breed who could easily excel in boxing if wanted to. Alvarez has partnered with James for a docuseries, something he describes as an incredible honor.

"He has the height, the body, the physique. But, an athlete of this level -- like ourselves -- I think we can do other sports fairly well," said Alvarez in that interview.

In the same report, and for the fun of it, James was compared to a well-known and active boxer in Deontay Wilder. In that tale of the tape, both were pretty much even in terms of vitals. But of course, most know that Wilder would easily be the favorite with his boxing experience. Had James considered a boxing career, it would have been something to see him in the ring.

Alvarez is coming off a big win over Daniel Jacob, pulling off a unanimous decision victory to unify the middleweight world titles. Canelo earned the nod of all three judges, with two having it 115-113 and the other 116-112. It was the 10th straight win by the red-haired pug since losing to Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in 2013, Manila Bulletin Sports reported.

Looking ahead, a possible next opponent is World Boxing Organization middleweight champion, Demetrius Andrade. Should It materialize, it would be the fourth title under his waist. Aside from Andrade, the name of Gennady Golovkin has also been mentioned although Alvarez laid down his terms for GGG – that of which is to first own a title before a trilogy can come to fruition.

As for James, he has his own mission with the Los Angeles Lakers. After missing the NBA playoffs in his first year with the purple and gold, he finds himself waiting in the wings to see who will be calling the shots next season. Tyronn Lue is looming as the Lakers next head coach as the list of coaching candidates start to dwindle.

Monty Williams, another favorite to succeed Luke Walton has been taken out of the mix after the current Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach agreed to call the shots for the Phoenix Suns next season.
