  • Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has been offered two different deals for his next fight
  • Eddie Hearn shares his honest take on Alvarez's next possible opponents
  • Bob Arum names the Mexican superstar's most likely opponent at light heavyweight

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez got some thorough thinking to do with a number of world champions lining up to become his next opponent.

The entire boxing world awaits Alvarez’s next move as he now deals with a crucial decision-making game.

The Mexican superstar was recently offered two different deals for his next fight--a one-fight offer from PBC’s Al Haymon in which he will take on WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo and Eddie Hearn’s two-fight deal offer to square off against WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol and then longtime middleweight rival Gennadiy Golovkin.

As it stands, Alvarez has yet to agree on any of the aforementioned offers. However, Hearn already assessed that Charlo will be the “easiest fight” for his client at this point.

“I think [Jermall] Charlo is the easiest fight for him [Canelo],” Hearn recently told BoxingInsider.com.

“I see the Golovkin fight as a much more brutal fight than Charlo,” he added. “I see the [Dmitry] Bivol fight as a much more technically tricky fight than Charlo but Charlo is also is a great fighter.”

Hearn had earlier commented on Alvarez’s plan to move up to cruiserweight and challenge for a title as well.

For Hearn, it would be best for the undisputed champion to dominate the light heavyweight division first.

At light heavyweight, Alvarez also has a wide array of options, including WBO titleholder Joe Smith Jr. as well as IBF and WBC champion Artur Beterbiev, who both are under Bob Arum’s Top Rank Promotions.

According to Arum, Alvarez’s team had already “hinted” at going for Smith first and then Beterbiev next.

However, it will still boil down on the multi-division champion’s opponent of choice.

“There haven’t been any real conversations [for Canelo vs Artur Beterbiev],” Arum told iFL TV last December. “I think they might wanna fight Joe Smith Jr. next and then go to Beterbiev to unify the titles. They sort of hinted at that.”

"The ball is in Canelo's court. Canelo is the biggest attraction in boxing now, he's a tremendous talent and a tremendous fighter and he more or less picks his opponents. He also tries to get the best guys,” the promoter continued.

"So he could fight [Artur] Beterbiev, he could fight [Joe] Smith, but it's up to Canelo and I think he's looking to do a fight in May."
