'Captain America: Civil War' Leaked Photo Shows Villain Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) Arriving On The Set
Daniel Bruhl, who plays main villain Baron Helmut Zemo in “Captain America: Civil War,” has reportedly started shooting his scenes on the film’s Atlanta set. Just Jared revealed the photos of the actor arriving on the set where he can be seen dressed casually in a pair of white pants, gray shirt and gray shoes. He appears to be a chatting with the crewmembers on the set.
Bruhl’s character is a brilliant scientist in the Nazi party and his alter ego is Dr. Heinrich Zemo. In the comics, he is the sadistic genius who creates varied weapons for mass destruction, including the death ray canon, disintegrated pistol and primitive androids. He tests his deadly weapons on common people and even causes mass death in a German town. He is a master swordsman and skilled strategist. He also has a slow aging process and possesses moon stones. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created the character.
The 37-year-old actor has not divulged much about how he will be approaching his character, but he did tell The Independent that he was in awe of the budget of the Marvel film when he was offered the role.
“For the first few days I’ll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the megalomania of it. It’s such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget,” he said. When asked about the details of his role he said, “I am not supposed to say anything. I cannot even talk about the part, really, because I would be too afraid to give something away and then I’ll end up in the Marvel prison and I do not want that.”
The other actors set to appear in the film include Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Rudd. Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are directing from the screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The latest installment of Captain America opens May 6, 2016.
