Cara Delevingne did a crazy stunt and announced through her social media followers that she would give out her number. Many were skeptic but there were a few who claimed that the number was legit.

Delevingne’s followers on Instagram and Twitter frenzied as soon as the 27-year-old supermodel posted her number on the said social media accounts.

Netizens were quick to respond claiming that it was a scam, marketing strategy or the model’s account was hacked; however, one of Delevingne’s followers on Instagram explained how it goes.

He stated in the comment section of Delevingne’s post that it started out as an automated response but the celebrities could open the app and choose to respond privately. He claimed he to have tried it and the model responded to him by saying, “cheers!”

Moving on to Twitter, there was another Delevingne fan who posted a screenshot of what she claimed as an actual conversation with the model.

Many who attempted to message the number complained that they received an automated response with a link.

Amid the doubts and skepticism, there was one follower who said that there were some celebrities who have random numbers they use to talk to fans.

Little did fans know, amid the upheaval on social media because of Delevingne’s post, she and her girlfriend for two years had already called it quits.

Sources claimed that Delevingne and Ashley Benson broke up at the beginning of April. An insider told People that the former couple had their “ups and downs” in the relationship; however, the “relationship just ran its course.”

Delevingne is reportedly spending time with friends Margaret Qualley, Rainey Qualley and Kaia Gerber.

Delevingne was previously linked to St. Vincent, Paris Jackson and Michelle Rodriguez. The model, on the other hand, was Benson’s first same-sex relationship.

Delevingne and Benson were linked in 2018 but it was only in 2019 when the model confirmed their relationship. The model told E! News in an interview at TrevorLIVE Gala that she decided to go on public about their relationship since it was their first year anniversary.

Representatives from each party are yet to confirm the break-up.
