Cardi B surprised her fans with pregnancy news during the BET Awards 2021 held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Sunday.

The announcement took place during the performance of her husband Offset's group Migos. The 28-year-old rapper entered the stage while the group was performing "Type S," one of the tracks in its newly released album.

Clad in a black bodysuit that exposed her baby bump, Cardi shared that their second baby is coming. The rapper went on to perform the "Type Sh-t" music track from the "Culture III" music album.

Taraji P. Henson, the award ceremony's host, took the stage after the performance and joked, "Cardi B and Offset, giving us life - literally."

A netizen posted a video of her performance on Twitter Sunday. In the caption, they wrote, "@iamcardib has always been the one give energy on the stage performance while being pregnant!! She killed it."

The official BET Awards Twitter handle also shared a GIF of Cardi B and captioned it with, "OMG!!!!!! @iamcardib breaking some MAJOR news! Pregnant and slaying Star-struck#BETAwards #CulturesBiggestNight."

Reactions from both fans and critics started pouring in immediately.

One of them noted that Cardi B wasn't the first person to announce her pregnancy on stage in 2011 at MTV Video Music Awards. "Didn't Beyonce do that already," they said.

In response, a fan wrote, "It's not a competition! Y'all some uptight worry about the wrong thing kinda people about folks that don’t even know ya."

Another fan commented, "Congratulations to her. I hope she has a happy and healthy pregnancy and delivery."

Cardi B also took to Instagram Sunday night to share a photo of her baby bump.

Offset and Cardi B currently share one daughter, Kulture Kiari, who will turn 3 in July. On the other hand, Offset, 29, has three other children, Kalea, 6, Kody, 6, and Jordan, 11, from his past relationships.

The rapper made her debut in the action-adventure movie franchise "F9" on June 25. The movie also stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster and Charlize Theron.

Last week, Diesel confirmed that Cardi B will also appear in "Fast & Furious 10."
