Carrie Ann Inaba is departing "The Talk," months after she took a leave of absence due to her health.

Inaba announced her exit Friday in a "big announcement" posted via Instagram. After three seasons on the CBS daytime talk show, the 53-year-old host confirmed that she, "The Talk" and the network "mutually agreed to part ways."

"I just want to say that I'm filled with gratitude for the experience and for this chapter of my life that has been 'The Talk,'" she said in her video message. "I have made lifelong friendships, I've had incredible experiences and I've had wonderful discussions that helped me evolve as a human being. And it's been an honor to be a part of your lives and to have a voice."

Inaba — who officially joined "The Talk" as a permanent co-host in 2019 when she filled Julie Chen's vacated spot — also expressed her gratitude to her past and present co-hosts, those who work behind the scenes on the talk show and her fans. Current hosts of the show include Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth.

She went on to tease her future projects, saying she was "excited for all that's to come."

"With love and gratitude and respect, I wish you guys the best. To a great season ahead," Inaba continued. "And to all of you who have supported me through this time, thank you so much. It’s been amazing. And I’ll see you very soon."

In a statement to Deadline announcing her departure, Inaba wrote, "I enjoyed my time at 'The Talk' as co-host and moderator and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to grow with the entire Talk family as well as truly connect with viewers on such a personal level. I will miss 'The Talk,' but I am excited for the next chapter both for myself and for the show."

Meanwhile, Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews, executive producers of "The Talk," also released a joint statement confirming Inaba's exit from the show.

"Carrie Ann’s authenticity and openness created a special connection and relationship with our audience," they said, as per Deadline. "We will always be grateful for her contributions here at 'The Talk' over the last 3 seasons. Her warmth, wisdom and vulnerability are just a few of her many admirable traits that will be missed. We wish her much success and good health going forward."

Inaba has been on a leave of absence from "The Talk" since April to focus on her health and wellbeing. At the time, she didn't mention when she would return to the show but said she hoped to be back "soon."

The Hawaii native has had a number of health struggles over the years, including spinal stenosis and Sjögren’s syndrome, Us Weekly reported.

Last year, Inaba revealed to MedLine Plus magazine that due to Sjögren's, she also suffers from a number of autoimmune conditions, including fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

Inaba is set to return as a judge for "Dancing with the Stars'" milestone Season 30, which premieres next month.
