Carrie Fisher’s Birthday Celebrated By Billie Lourd By Getting Matching Tattoo
Carrie Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, remembered her on her birthday by getting a tattoo that matched hers.
It would’ve been Fisher’s 61st birthday on Saturday, Oct. 21, but the “Star Wars” actress passed away in December of last year. On Sunday, the “Scream Queens” actress shared a photo of her new ankle tattoo that consisted of the moon, stars and the earth. She also uploaded a photo of Fisher’s tattoo on her ankle that looked similar to the one she got.
Lourd’s tattoo artist, Dr. Woo, also uploaded a similar post on his Instagram account and revealed that it was the actress’ way of paying tribute to her mom. On the day of Fisher’s birthday, Lourd also shared a throwback photo of herself with the actress.
Fisher passed away after going into cardiac arrest four days after she was brought to the hospital in Los Angeles. Her mom, Debbie Reynolds, died one day later.
Meanwhile, some celebrities also paid tribute to the actress, but it was her dog Gary that shared one of the sweetest greetings for Fisher. On the dog’s Instagram account, a photo of Gary cuddling with Fisher has been uploaded. In the caption, Gary express how much he misses cuddling with her.
In September, the actress opened up about what it was like losing her mom and grandmother one day apart from each other. The actress told Ellen DeGeneres that it was just “impossible to deal with.” While on the “Ellen Show,” she said, “There’s no way to really explain it – it’s so hard to talk about. If I say I’m doing good, I’m too happy. If I say I’m not doing good, then I’m a mess.”
Six months after Fisher’s and Reynold’s death, Lourd shared her new mantra by quoting her mom. “If my life weren’t funny then it would just be true and that is unacceptable.” Lourd also acknowledged the fact that moving on from her mom and grandmother’s deaths will take some time, but she’s trying her best to survive.
Lourd is the daughter of Fisher from her previous relationship with Bryan Lourd.
