Carrie Underwood Photographed By Fan After Accident: What Does She Look Like?

People were heartbroken to learn that country singer Carrie Underwood’s face has changed ever since she got into an accident last November.

Underwood penned a letter to her fans, revealing that her fall at home caused her to break her wrist and sustain injuries on her face. “In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [Underwood's husband] Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in,” she said, according to Entertainment Tonight.

“I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful," she added. "I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse. And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way.”

Underwood has been avoiding the camera ever since she got into an accident, so she asked her fans to “understand why I might look a bit different” when she returns to the spotlight.

However, “Below Deck” alum Adrienne Gang managed to have a photo taken with Underwood last December. Gang chanced upon Underwood at the gym, and being such a huge fan of the “Before He Cheats” singer, she could not resist having a photo taken with her.

Underwood looked great in the photo, which confused netizens who were assuming that the singer took a beating from her fall. “But how’d she have 40-50 stitches on her face like 3 weeks before this??” a confused fan commented.

“She either has an awesome surgeon or she’s exaggerating. Why all the hidden drama!??” another added.

On the other hand, some people were able to notice slight changes in her facial features. “Actually i can kinda see it?? Like on the far side her face looks pretty beat up, but it also looks to be recovering okay,” a netizen wrote.

As for Underwood, the only photo of herself which she shared on Instagram last December was completely covered by a scarf.
