Carrie Underwood Teases New Hair Color After Leaving Sony Music Nashville
Carrie Underwood is welcoming some changes into her life this week. Right after news broke that she’s left her record label Sony Music Nashville, the mother-of-one took to social media to tease fans that she’s dyeing her hair with a different color.
On Wednesday, Underwood uploaded a selfie onto Instagram to show fans that she’s in the process of changing her look. In the photo, Underwood can be seen with a smug expression on her face while she’s getting her hair dyed in a salon. The “American Idol” Season 3 winner then revealed in the caption that this is the first time she’s coloring her hair since last November.
Underwood also poked fun at her stylist Marissa Martin by saying that she “had her work cut out for her.” The Grammy-winning singer then teased her fans that she’ll be showing off the finished product of her salon rendezvous this weekend.

Fans were quick to react to Underwood’s teasing for her new look. “I just want to say no matter what you do to your hair or body or anything you are still going to be the most beautiful and strong woman that I have ever seen,” one fan wrote. “Love to see you taking time for you. With everything going on in life I understand the struggle to just find the time to sit for three hours. Yay you!” another fan commented.
Underwood’s latest post comes after it was announced that she left Sony Music Nashville and entered a worldwide recording contract with Capitol Records Nashville, which is part of the Universal Music Group. This is a big move for Underwood who has been with Sony Music Nashville since she won “American Idol” back in 2005, as first reported by Sounds Like Nashville.
“It’s so inspiring to me as an artist to feel this excited about the future,” Underwood said of her new endeavor. “The incredible team at UMG shares the heart and passion I have for music as well as the drive, and their innovative spirit has shown that together the possibilities are endless.”
