The relationship between Casey Anthony and her father, George Anthony, has been strained to non-existent since the 2008 high-publicity trial over the death of her daughter Caylee. Now, George is looking to make amends with Casey and is reportedly seeking a reconciliation with his daughter.

On Thursday’s episode of the “Dr. Oz,” George talks emotionally about his daughter Casey, following the car accident that nearly ended his life last November. George suffered brain damage from the crash, causing his wife Cindy to be his caretaker, who has said she doesn’t have time for Casey's "drama" in her life right now as she focuses on the health of her husband.

George revealed parts of a letter that he sent to Casey telling Dr. Oz that “I just want to let her know how I felt. I know of one thing I did say to her: ‘I would love to see you and I would love for mom to know where you’re at, how you’re doing.'”

The letter from George continued with him saying, “‘Casey, no matter what, I’m still your dad and I love you.’”

For George, the omission wasn’t easy as he told Dr. Oz, “That was hard for me, but I needed to get that from me because you can’t move on if you keep on holding all these things inside, you need to be able to express yourself.”

George also asked Casey to just come home. He said to his daughter, “Come home. I would love to just get that hug and be able to talk to her just one more time. I wouldn't force her into saying something, I would want her just, there's something she wants to say to me, just say it to me from your heart. Just be that young lady or that young woman that I love, and I still do.”
