"Casper" Star Christina Ricci Announces Second Pregnancy
Christina Ricci is pregnant with her second baby. The “Casper” actress made the announcement through an Instagram post on Tuesday.
The photo showed an ultrasound image and was captioned, “Life keeps getting better.”
Ricci’s post has been liked at least 109,000 times with many of her followers congratulating her on the good news including “2 Broke Girls” star Kat Dennings who wrote, "Oh my god!!!"
Danish Supermodel and former Victoria’s Secret angel Helena Christensen said, "Wonderful ❤ ️ ❤ ️ ❤ ️," while 45-year-old “National Treasure” actress Diane Kruger commented, "CONGRATULATIONS."
“Summertime Sadness” singer Lana del Rey also congratulated Ricci by posting a red heart emoji on the latter’s Instagram post.
Her boyfriend, hairstylist Mark Hampton also shared the big news on his Instagram page by posting a set of ultrasound images also captioning his announcement, “Life keeps getting better.”
Last month, Ricci took to Instagram to celebrate Hampton's birthday. She posted a photo of him and captioned it “Happy Birthday @markhamptonhair favorite person, gorgeous human, bringer of all things happy, magical and good ♥️♥️♥️I love you ♥️♥️♥️♥️ The next year is going to be the best one yet.”
Ricci’s firstborn Freddie recently turned 7. She shares Freddie with ex-husband James Heerdegen whom she filed for divorce from in July 2020. According to People, the ex-couple married each other in 2013 after meeting on the set of her TV series “Pan Am.”
In 2017, Ricci told Net-a-Porter's digital magazine The Edit about how motherhood changed her.
“Marriage shows you your flaws in how you deal with things, and having a child forces you to grow up at the speed of light,” she said in The Edit interview, People reported.
In her 2019 interview with IndieWire, the former child actress revealed why she is keeping her son’s private life away from social media.
"I had a very hard time with fame as a child, being interviewed and being asked about my life. I think that the way that I answered questions and the things I said earlier on were just, it was like somebody twisting in the wind. I was very reactive and aggressive and I acted out," she said at the time. "No child should be held up for adults to criticize, question, interview, weigh in on. It's the reason we don't have pictures of our children up online. It's the same thing."
