Cassie Randolph got candid on how she learned about her ex Colton Underwood's sexual orientation.

Randolph was the winner of Underwood's "Bachelor" season. They dated from 2019 until May 2020. A year later, he came out as gay in an interview on "Good Morning America." Randolph told Kaitlyn Bristowe on Tuesday's episode of the "Off the Vine" podcast that her ex did not give her a heads-up about his revelation ahead of the interview.

"I found out the same way that everyone else did," Randolph told Bristowe as quoted by Us Weekly, explaining that she saw a video of his interview on social media. "It was horrible."

Underwood struggled with his sexuality. While fans supported the former NFL player’s decision to come out as gay and be true to himself, they were not happy with how he treated Randolph.

She filed a restraining order against him, accusing him of stalking, harassment and placing a tracking device on her car. Underwood apologized for what he did in the interview.

"I got into a place with my personal life that was dark, and bad, and I can list a bunch of different things, but they’d all be excuses," he said. "I’d like to say sorry for how things ended. I messed up. I made a lot of bad choices."

Randolph has remained quiet about her stint in the Bachelor Nation, but she made a surprise appearance in the "Bachelor" season finale earlier this month. The reality star also shared with Bristowe how she felt after returning to the program.

"I don’t think I even meant to not do it," she said. "I think it just kind of happened that way. … If they ever wanted me to, like, make an appearance like the other night, it was super fun. So, I was like, ‘Of course,’ but it just never really comes up."

Randolph's recent appearance in the "Bachelor" finale was the first time she spoke about her time on the show, and she was aware that many were surprised after seeing her. She admitted that she was also shocked by their response.

"I feel like people were so shocked that I was on," she told Bristowe. "I would love to know why people thought it was such a big deal."
